The San Francisco 49ers are dealing with yet another off field situation with one of their players but unlike the Colin Kaepernick story which has been disputed, the situation with Aldon Smith is much more severe.

If there’s one thing you never say at the airport, the word ‘bomb’ is at the very top and stands as the end-all, be-all of words you simply do not say. But for some reason Aldon Smith said it and has lit the fuse on a situation that is less explosive and more a matter of national security.

TMZ broke the story about Smith’s arrest at LAX for yelling ‘bomb’ and have no released footage of his arrest at the airport.

This is troubling to see and not because anyone thinks Smith is a terrorist or is looking to blow up a plane, rather the self destruction he’s showing is scary to watch. He’s had numerous run-ins with the law recently and has now found himself in trouble with the FBI and Homeland Security.

Whatever Smith is going through it’s clear he’s sick and he needs to get mental help before he’s judged or made fun of for this.
