The Jacksonville Jaguars have shown a lot of interest in the top quarterbacks in the draft, meeting with Blake Bortles of the Central Florida Knights, Teddy Bridgewater of the Louisville Cardinals and Johnny Manziel of the Texas A&M Aggies.

However, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com does not expect the Jaguars to take a quarterback with the third overall pick.

"I don’t believe they’ll take a quarterback with the No. 3 pick, which means they’re going to be choosing from a group that includes Derek Carr, A.J. McCarron, Jimmy Garoppolo and Zach Mettenberger, all of whom visited the facility this past week. I think Garoppolo and Mettenberger top that list."

The Jaguars obviously have a need at the position and passing on a quarterback to take one later does not mean they will have to potentially “settle” for one of the quarterbacks above. One report suggested the Jaguars could use their pick on a different position and trade back into the first round to draft Bridgewater if he takes the fall most expect he will.

Either way, its seems like Chad Henne, who was re-signed this offseason, will be the starter come week one.
