The New Orleans Saints lost a few of their offensive weapons this offseason and they’ll likely be looking to the draft to replace them. The most notable loss was Darren Sproles, who was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles last month for a draft pick.

That draft pick ma be used to help secure Sproles replacement as there is talk of the Saints trading up to draft LSU speedster Odell Beckham Jr. While that pick from the Sproles trade could be used in a package, Mike Triplett from ESPN doesn’t believe such a trade is wise nor in the cards.

Per ESPN.com:

"It seems like a long shot that Odell Beckham Jr. will fall to the Saints at No. 27. It’s not impossible, though, since there are so many highly touted receivers that could be taken in Round 1, and different teams might have different preferences. … But they’d probably have to trade up to get him. That’s also possible — but most analysts agree that this is a deep draft class in which teams like the Saints can sit back and still get a quality pick."

The Saints could see Beckham fall to them but trading up to get him seems unwise given the depth of the draft this year.
