Now that Alex Mack has locked in a five-year, $42 million contract thanks to a bidding war between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns, there are a number of other centers around the league that will be looking for a new deal.

As it turns out, two of those centers happen to be from the same family — Mike Pouncey of the Miami Dolphins and Maurkice Pouncey of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The twin brother that plays for Pittsburgh, Maurkice, is set to enter a contract year so an extension could potentially be in his future, but Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has reported the two sides have yet to engage in discussions.

It isn’t surprising considering the Steelers history in dealing with players who are entering the final year of their deal, especially considering Pouncey is coming off of a torn ACL last season.

Pouncey will likely not engage in talks with the Steelers until after the season.
