Teddy Bridgewater has had an uneventful predraft process as the former Louisville Cardinals quarterback has gone from a potential No. 1 overall pick of the Houston Texans to possibly sliding all the way out of the first round entirely after a disappointing pro day.

The most interesting aspect of Bridgewater’s offseason came today when The Bleacher Report’s draft expert Matt Miller tweeted that one NFC North coach compared him to a Willie Beamen, the fictional character in Any Given Sunday.

Player comparisons are all over the place prior to drafts, whether it’s the NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a draft prospect compared to a fictional character before, so if nothing else, Bridgewater has that going for him.

No word on if he has any plans to release a video quite like Steamin’ Willie Beamen did.
