The Denver Broncos made a big splash in free agency when they signed outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware when the Dallas Cowboys released him. According to Dan Pompei of The Bleacher Report, Ware was attracted to the Broncos in part for the opportunity to play opposite Von Miller.

“Peyton Manning wasn’t the only player who helped attract DeMarcus Ware to the Broncos. Ware also is very excited about playing across from Von Miller,” Pompei wrote. “People who know Ware say he thinks he and Miller will have a mutually beneficial relationship because pass protectors won’t be able to gang up on both of them at the same time. He also is friendly with Miller, who grew up in Dallas, and he is looking forward to spending time with the young pass-rusher and helping to settle him.”

In an interview with ESPN’s Keyshawn Johnson, Miller said that he contacted Broncos officials about pursuing Ware if he became available before Ware was even released.

“(That) if something come up where he’s going to be free, we need to pounce on top of that,’’ Miller said, via ESPN. “I modeled my game after DeMarcus … fanatical effort, relentless pursuit to the ball.’’

The duo of Miller and Ware will be a problem for offenses looking to stop the pass rush, you could see why the two would be attracted to the idea of playing with one another.
