It’s no secret that the New England Patriots could be in the market for a tight end come the NFL Draft next month, and they’re going to take a closer look at that option on Wednesday when they welcome in Iowa product C.J. Fiedorowicz.

With the uncertainty constantly surrounding Rob Gronkowski and his health seemingly every season, it wouldn’t hurt for the team to look toward a younger, more durable outlet for Tom Brady to get the ball to to open things up for the rest of the receiving corps, and Fiedorowicz can definitely be that young man to fill that void.

In a lackluster Iowa offense last season, Fiedorowicz caught just 30 passes for 299 yards and six touchdowns. But, Kirk Ferentz’s offense at Iowa is nowhere not nearly as balanced as that of the Patriots. Having shown off his talents in workouts, Fiedorowicz could do a lot of damage working with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
