Former NFL tight end Aaron Hernandez is currently locked up and facing murder charges, but he also continues to find himself in other trouble while in Bristol County Jail. Earlier this year, Hernandez allegedly beat up a fellow inmate, and now TMZ is reporting Hernandez is being investigated for allegedly threatening to kill a jail guard.

The incident reportedly happened last year, and investigators have met with an ex-inmate to to discuss what went down.

Investigators want to know if Hernandez said he was going “kill the guard and shoot his family” or if he ever made a noise like a “machine gun round” directed at the guard.

The ex-inmate claims that Hernandez never said he was going to kill the guard, but he did admit that there was a heated exchange.

As an added bonus, the ex-inmate told TMZ that Hernandez was running schemes in the jail cafeteria to get some extra food after noticeably losing weight.

Last week, Hernandez’s associates Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace were also indicted in murder charges for the execution-style killing of Odin Lloyd last summer. Hernandez has been jailed since June 26 of last year and the case is still continuing to play out.

If the TMZ report is true and investigators find information that Hernandez did make threats to the guard, it certainly won’t help his case.
