The New York Jets have been flirting with the idea of signing former Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson for the better part of the month, going as far as to invite him into their home on Tuesday. Roughly 24 hours later, the Jets have closed the deal and have agreed to a contract deal with Johnson.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets have signed Johnson to a two-year deal.

Johnson was heavily rumored to be going to the Jets even before he was cut and now that has all seemingly come to fruition. The ink isn’t dry on the deal yet but Johnson in New York seems to be a move that will not only make him a rich man once again but make the Jets recently stagnant offense all of a sudden one of the more potentially explosive units in the NFL.
