You will be hard-pressed to find a quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft that is rising quicker than former Pitt signal-caller Tom Savage. There is plenty of buzz that Savage, who was originally projected as a fourth- or fifth-round draft pick, could be selected early on Day 2 of the draft in three weeks.
Now, Savage’s agent is saying the quarterback has been invited to attend the draft next month at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
From Sam Werner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
Per his agent, former #Pitt QB Tom Savage was invited to New York for next month’s NFL Draft. Hasn’t decided whether or not to attend.

The NFL has expanded the list of players they invite to New York City with the draft shifting to a three-day format, so Savage being invited does not mean the league views him as a potential first-round pick.
What it does state, however, is that they are hearing the same buzz that is making it’s way to the media and that Savage could very well be a second-round pick on Day 2.
