The Detroit Lions are one of the most interesting teams in the 2014 NFL Draft, with plenty of discussion over the past few weeks linking them to potential trades up from their No. 10 spot in order to draft Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins or South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

Now, there seems to be a growing belief that the Lions could be pulling off a stunner if they remain at pick 10.

On Wednesday night’s edition of “Path to the Draft” on the NFL Network, Charley Casserly stated that the team’s move could surprise some people.

“Even though they’ll have a plan position-wise, there could be a surprise here depending upon who is there,” Casserly said, via NFL.com.

There has been buzz that the Lions will be taking the “best player available” when they are on the clock, so that could create an interesting situation if someone like Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel would happen to slide.

Regardless of what the pick may be, it is becoming clearer that this is one of the most intriguing and unpredictable drafts that we have seen in years.
