The closer we get to the 2014 NFL Draft the further Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been sliding down draft boards. With the draft now just three weeks away, it is beginning to look like a draft day slide for Bridgewater is increasingly likely.

Many members of the draft community continue to praise Bridgewater as one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft, but Phil Savage stated on SiriusXM Radio that NFL teams are not as high on the quarterback’s abilities.

“I think the media has Teddy Bridgewater in the top 10, but around league circles he’s more like a late-first, early second-round pick,” Savage said.

If that is the way NFL teams really feel, then there is a chance someone could be getting their franchise quarterback at the end of Round 1.

It is hard to imagine Bridgewater sliding past the Arizona Cardinals at No. 20 or the Cleveland Browns with their second first-round pick, but anything is possible come draft day on May 8.
