NFL Rumors: New York Jets expected to release Mike Goodson
By Josh Hill
The New york Jets inked free agent running back Chris Johnson to a two-year contract on Wednesday and doing so likely means the end of the road for one of the backs already on roster.
According to Jets beat writer mannish Mehta, the team is likely going to be cutting running back Mike Goodson to clean up the running back position on the depth chart.
Bizarre doesn’t even begin to explain Goodson’s stint with the Jets. Almost as soon as he was signed he was busted for being the car with loaded weapons and barfing all over himself when the cops showed up. From there, his hardly meaningful playing time with the team coupled with the off-field attention made him one of the more laughable signings in Jets history.
Still, even with all of that aside, Goodson seems like a good candidate to be cut anyways and that means his tenure with New York is coming closer and closer to it’s conclusion.
