The Oakland Raiders were able to find a trade partner in the world champion Seattle Seahawks for the services for quarterback Terrelle Pryor on Monday night, marking a new start for the former Ohio State star.

So with Pryor making the move now, and with Russell Wilson clearly not going anywhere, any time soon barring injury, the questions have already risen as to whether or not a change of position might be in order for the athletic Pryor, more than likely to wide receiver.

According to Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk, the word as of right now is that Pryor will remain at the quarterback position as a back up to Wilson…for now.

"The release identifies Pryor as a quarterback, saying nothing about Pryor possibly filling other roles. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, he will indeed remain a quarterback."

Heading into the season, Pryor will compete with Tarvaris Jackson for the number two spot behind Wilson, although you would have to think that eventually the innovative mind of Pete Carroll will find some way to utilize Pryor’s talents on the field.
