A few weeks back, Baylor Bears’ center Isaiah Austin denied a report that he was entering the NBA Draft.

On Tuesday, Austin officially announced that he was entering the draft.

Austin linked to his instagram account which contained the following message.

"Extremely blessed for this day. I want to thank God and everyone who has supported me over the years. Today I officially put my name into the 2014 NBA draft and it’s hard to believe that I even made it this far bc the odds were against me. I promise to always give my all to this game and I promise to always strive to become the best man of God I can be. This journey is far from over and I’m excited to take the next step in my career. Baylor will always be my family and thank you all for the wonderful memories and experiences! Sic Em!"

The 7’1, 220-pound Austin averaged 11.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game as a freshman for the Bears last season.

Draft Express ranks him as the 38th-best prospect and projects him to go 36th in June’s Draft.
