On Monday, the New York Knicks finally made it official and relieved head coach Mike Woodson and all of his staff, including long time Knicks’ assistant Herb Williams, of their duties.

Although there is no doubt new Knicks’ President Phil Jackson has been thinking about who he will give the reigns to, the Knicks now have the freedom to conduct interviews and actually make their hire.

There are several big names that the Knicks could be interested in (and we profiled a few of them here), but TNT announcer Steve Kerr, who played for Jackson with the Chicago Bulls, appears to be the favorite. Kerr has never been a head coach, but did serve as General Manager and President of the Phoenix Suns.

Another Jackson disciple, Brian Shaw, who is currently the Denver Nuggets’ head coach, but played and coached under Jackson with the Los Angeles Lakers, is considered the second favorite.

Our friends over at Bovada have been kind enough to send over their complete odds.

Who will be the Head Coach for the New York Knicks for Game 1 of the 2014-2015 Season?

Steve Kerr                     1/2

Brian Shaw                    4/1

Phil Jackson                 7/1

Kurt Rambis                  7/1

Jim Cleamons               7/1

Derek Fisher                 9/1

Scottie Pippen              15/1
