Once again this NFL offseason, we were shown once again what can happen when Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has an open checkbook in his possession and the top free agent on the market sitting in front of him.

Just a few days after being released by the rival Philadelphia Eagles, wide receiver DeSean Jackson took his first visit to the Redskins organization and Snyder, and that would end up being the only visit he would take as he was signed not long after.

Now that deal that Snyder gave Jackson to come in and work with the likes of QB Robert Griffin III and fellow wideouts Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss was for two years, although when you ask Snyder himself, he plans to have Jackson here for a lot longer than that.

“I think you’ll see him here for the Redskins for many years,” Snyder told CSNWashington.com.

This could be some lofty aspirations on the Redskins’ owner’s part, but you never know. Jackson might just eventually get that used to his new surroundings that he might want to stick around for a good majority of the rest of his career; if not all of it.
