Kentucky Wildcats forward Julius Randle was one of the many heralded high school recruits coming into the 2013-14 college basketball season. Also, alongside Duke’s Jabari Parker, he was one that was considered the most ready for the professional ranks, making it nearly inevitable that he would only be spending one season with John Calipari and Big Blue Nation.

As it turned out, after an up-and-down regular season, Randle ended up helping nearly lead Kentucky to another national championship behind his averaging 15 points per game and 10.4 rebounds. Looking back at the entire picture of the season, Randle improved, from start to finish, probably more than any player in the game of college basketball last year.

So of course, when it was all said and done, Randle did end up declaring for the NBA Draft, and in the video below, Campus Insiders’ Jordan Cornette give us three reasons why Randle is now ready to begin his development as a professional.
