With the 2014 NFL Draft approaching, we are beginning to learn more about the prospects that have visited with every team around the league. According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, one of the players the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted on a pre-draft visit was Demarcus Lawrence.

Bouchette also noted that running back Jerick McKinnon of Georgia Southern also was hosted on a visit today, which is the final week that teams have to bring in draft prospects.

Lawrence is a red hot prospect who is beginning to shoot up draft boards and there has been some discussion that the Boise State star could emerge as a first-round pick. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but it is more likely that the Steelers are investigating in case he falls to their pick in the second-round.

We will have all of our answers in just two weeks.
