On Wednesday night the NFL released the full 2014 schedules for all 32 teams. The Denver Broncos started the 2013 season on a 6-0 run before losing to the Indianapolis Colts on the road, they’ll have a difficult time getting out of the first three games of their season with a winning record, much less undefeated.

They open the season hosting the Colts, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs who started the season 9-0 last year. They then will travel to take on the Seattle Seahawks, the team that defeated them in the Super Bowl. Broncos exec John Elway joined NFL Network’s “NFL Total Access: Schedule Release ’14” on Wednesday night and talked about the Broncos need for a hot start.

“When you first look at it, it really means we’re going to have to come out of the chute fast,” Elway said, via NFL.com.

“… We have three playoff teams and with Kansas City in the second week — a divisional game that is so important — then going up to visit the Seahawks, the defending world champs.

“I think the way that you look at schedules, the bottom line is we’ve got to win those games at home,” Elway explained. “With five out of the first eight at home, we’ve got to start fast.”
