Bills GM Doug Whaley speaks on drafting lineman

The Buffalo Bills pre-draft press conference was on Friday afternoon, and during it, Bills general manager Doug Whaley spoke about the prospects of drafting an offensive lineman, specifically a right tackle, with the ninth overall pick at this year’s NFL Draft.

“If you can plug and play him and not worry about it for 10 years, why not have bookend tackles?” the second-year GM told the media.

He added that he believes that both Michigan’s Taylor Lewan and Texas A&M’s Jake Matthews can play both sides of the line effectively.
