The Buffalo Bills may be looking at moving up in the NFL Draft to improve an already stout defensive line, but they also have to make sure to try and keep that line together. On Friday, the team did just that by making sure one of their own would be around a little bit longer, at least.

According the Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports, the Bills have picked up the fifth-year option on defensive tackle Marcell Dareus.

The decision to pick up the option was a pretty obvious one for the Bills. With Dareus under contract until 2015, the team now has extra time to hammer out a long-term extension with a player who made his first Pro Bowl in 2013.

Dareus, along with Kyle Williams and Mario Williams, makes up one of the top defensive lines in the NFL that thrived last season. For the Bills to end their 14-year playoff drought, Dareus and his partners in crime are going to have to step up in a big way once again in 2014.
