The Cleveland Cavaliers will likely be making some changes to their front office and a legendary NBA name is floating around as a possible new addition.

According to Mary Schmitt Boyer of the Plain Dealer, the Cavaliers are drawing interest from former Denver Nuggets head coach and current ESPN analyst George Karl as the team’s next president of basketball operations.

It’s unclear though how willing Dan Gilbert is to create the position of team president when he doesn’t already have someone in that position. Still, the idea of having someone keep eyes not he general manager — whoever that may end up being — isn’t the worst idea ever given how shoddy things have been there as of late.

David Griffin is occupying the GM seat at the moment and it appears that Gilbert will be rolling with him into the offseason which means this upcoming draft will be huge for Cleveland. Having Karl around to advise on roster moves seems like a good idea and other teams may consider a smilier move.

Either way, Cleveland will be making changes this summer and while a lot of those changes will be coming to the roster, the front office will change as well.
