The 2014 NFL Schedule was released on Wednesday night, and trying to schedule an entire season can’t be an easy task. Aside from sorting everyone’s schedules and bye weeks, the NFL has to take into account various other issues at stadiums, like concerts for instance. That is what happened with the British boy band One Direction, who have a fall tour being hosted in part by NFL stadiums.

From NFL.com:

"The British boy band — not content with the flesh of the Jonas Brothers resting in their digestive tracks — decided to wreak havoc on the NFL with a U.S. fall tour. The pop act impacted four NFL franchises with stadium dates in New Orleans (Sept. 25), Atlanta (Oct. 1), Tampa (Oct. 3) and Miami (Oct. 5)."

Dan Hanzus lists some other hurdles the NFL faced, like a rugby match at Soldier Field or a quilt festival preventing the San Francisco 49ers from hosting a game in Week 7.
