Last year the World Wrestling Entertainment sent Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross to a meeting with the National Football League in hopes of forming some sort of partnership. They were discussing the possibility of picking up NFL players who were unable to find teams during the off-season, to the WWE to pursue a career in professional wrestling.

Both of these companies happen to be huge fans of one another. We’ve seen a lot of professional football players take a shot at stepping into the squared circle, it doesn’t matter if it”s WWE or TNA. Most professional football players who are under contract with the league attend live events such as WWE RAW, SmackDown and pay-per-views.

Now according to NoDQ.com, the WWE recently lost their Executive Vice President of Global Digital Media Parkins Miller to the National Football League. Miller will become the NFL’s Chief Digital Officer.

Miller was a key player in the start up of the WWE Network. NoDQ.com also notes that the NFL could be working on a service called ‘NFL Now’ which will be similar to the WWE Network.

This is something that NFL fans across the globe should be very excited about.
