It’s crunch time for GM Rick Smith, head coach Bill O’Brien and the Houston Texans as they get set to either decide on who they will take with the top overall pick, or if they will trade the pick to move down in the draft and still be able to select a player that they covet.

As for those players, according to Mike Florio over at Pro Football Talk, the decision is down to four possible targets: Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles and Khalil Mack. A perfect balance of either two quarterbacks that could become the face of the franchise, or two defensive stars that could cement their legacy in their own right in Houston.

As recently as this week, it’s been speculated that the Atlanta Falcons is the franchise most interested in trading up to the top spot to grab Clowney, and they even put him through some force plate testing this week to gauge a little bit more about his durability for the future.

Whatever the case may be, it’s coming down to the wire for the Texans to see which direction they want to go in come May 8th.
