The New Orleans Saints seemingly have no problem letting running backs leave, and next up could be Mark Ingram. His current rookie contract is set to expire after the 2014 season, but there is a fifth year option available for Ingram if the team chooses to pick it up but head coach Sean Payton said no decision had been made yet.

“We’ve got time to do all of that. So there’s nothing we’ve decided permanently with that,” Payton said, via the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Ingram would be making $5.2 million in base salary in 2015 if they were to pick it up, that is a pretty considerable chunk of change. They might not be willing to pay Ingram that considering some are expecting the Saints to shift their ground game towards Khiry Robinson in 2014.
