The Detroit Pistons have slowly cleaned house as they fired Mo Cheeks during the season and kindly asked Joe Dumars to take another job in the front office, thus freeing up the general manager position. Now the team has a very important search ahead of them as they must find the right guys to lead the franchise and make sure another disappointing season doesn’t happen.

According to Vince Ellis of The Detroit Free Press, the Pistons are likely keeping an eye on three big names to see if they get eliminated from the postseason and lose their jobs as a result. Ellis specifically names Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks, Frank Vogel of the Indiana Pacers and Mark Jackson our west with the Golden State Warriors as coaches the Pistons could pursue.

Detroit needs to make the right choice and bringing in any of these three coaches could lead to not only significant improvements in 2014-15 but would also hype up the fan base who have been waiting for a winner for far too long. The roster should have won more games than it did this past season and maybe all that is missing is an elite head coach like Vogel, Jackson or Brooks.
