NFL Rumors: Vince Young to tryout at Cleveland Browns minicamp

The NFL career of former Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young has been sad to watch as he’s seemingly threw away all of his potential — as well as all of his money — in a short amount of time. It was less than a decade ago that Young was making that miraculous run at the Rose Bowl and today he’s begging for work at the pro level.

It appears that a fifth team in the league has come around to see if Young has anything left as the Cleveland Browns are set to give Young a tryout at minicamp.

Per MyFox in Houston:

NFL sources told FOX 26 Sports free agent quarterback Vince Young will take a physical today with the Cleveland Browns and work out with the team during this week’s mini camp with hopes of landing a contract.

Young started his career with the Tennessee Titans but after falling out with them he bounced from the Philadelphia Eagle to the Buffalo Bills and spent a preseason stint with the Green Bay Packers last year. After shamelessly begging for work on Twitter, Young has secured nothing more than a workout with the quarterback needy Browns and there is hope that he can finally catch on and at least be a career backup somewhere in the NFL.
