The most heavily discussed and interesting prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft has been former Texas A&M Aggies’ quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, has stirred up a lot of debate about how successful he can be in the NFL with his style of play.

One team that has been especially impressed with Manziel is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“He had a very impressive interview,” Bucs general manager Jason Licht told Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times.“We had a great day with him. Lovie and him have Texas roots. We enjoyed every minute that he was here. Sharp guy.

“He’s the Heisman Trophy winner,” Licht said. “A lot of the situations he’s been in you can’t blame him for. If I were young and had a Heisman Trophy on my mantle, I’d probably be in a lot more trouble than the next guy. So I think we’re just going to make the best football decision, what’s best for our football team and I think Lovie and his staff can handle the rest of it.”

The Bucs signed free agent quarterback Josh McCown and return last year’s starter, Mike Glennon, but clearly could use an upgrade in talent at the position.
