With the NFL Draft just over a week away, it’s starting to get to that time in the pre-draft process where teams waver frantically back and forth on certain prospects. While for the most part we know who the elite talent is and the tiers under them have been established, there are still one or two guys that are fluctuating back and forth and reading their status is a difficult task.

For UCF quarterback Blake Bortles, it’s still impossible to tell where he’ll be drafted as while it seems his stock dropped to the bottom half of the top 10, he appears to still be coveted by top teams. According to Peter King in his MMQB column, the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans are smitten by Blake Bortles which adds to the drama at the top of the draft in nine days time.

The Browns are also high on Sammy Watkins and talk of the Texans taking Jadeveon Clowney has only intensified in recent days. It’s unlikely that they’d take Bortles over one of those two players but it’s possible that the Browns go on the clock at No. 4 overall with Bortles as the best prospect, in which case we could see him get drafted in the top 5 after all.
