Earlier this week, Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron said that he was told there was a chance he could be drafted as high as pick No. 16 in the 2014 NFL Draft, and now ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is jumping on the bandwagon.

Mortensen said that he hears there is a team out there that is very high on McCarron as a prospect and they view him as a late-first or second-round pick.

“I know one team that loves him as a possible late first-, early second-rounder,” Mortensen said on Thursday’s SportsCenter, via Rotoworld.

McCarron has the size you look for in a NFL quarterback and the intelligence to grasp an offense and lead a team, so now we will just have to see just how much someone believes in McCarron and our answer will come in one week.
