The 2014 NFL Draft is a week away, and there are still a lot of rumors swirling about what will happen in the first round. Appearing on SportsCenter Thursday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped an interesting tidbit of information, calling the Minnesota Vikings a team to watch as a potential landing spot for Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

Some have projected Bridgewater going as high as No. 1 overall, and the Vikings have the eighth pick in the draft, though Schefter said that was all due to media hype. Schefter said Bridgewater was never viewed as a truly elite prospect, and suggested the Vikings might even trade back in the draft to get him.

The Vikings also don’t possess a clear-cut starter at the position so drafting Bridgewater with the expectation that he lead the team for years to come is a really reality.
