With just seven days until the NFL Draft, it’s decision time for the Houston Texans and general manager Rick Smith. Do they want to keep the first overall pick, or will the be overwhelmed by a deal from someone down further to trade out?

Well on Thursday, Smith spoke to the media and he talked about the possibility of both scenarios. He did stress that they have already decided who they would take with the first pick, although he’s not entirely certain that he and his team will be there to pull the trigger when it’s all said and done.

Basically, all of this talk about moving away from the first pick centers around defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. A few teams have expressed their interest in wanting to get up to the front and take the defensive stud, most notably the Atlanta Falcons who recently had an extensive visit with the former SEC star.

With just these seven days in front of us now, anything can happen.
