Last season the Chicago Bears made a huge improvement regarding their offensive line. They could use a little bit of depth at both the tight end and half-back position but they seem pretty set if Jay Cutler is able to remain healthy during the entire year.

The key focus going into the 2014 off-season was obviously the defense. A team that struggled to stop the running game and hardly ever got to the opposing quarterback, received a huge boost on the defensive line. Sure they lost pro bowler Henry Melton to the Dallas Cowboys and Julius Peppers to the Green Bay Packers, but Phil Emery was able to go out and find two huge replacements.

Every NFL fan knows about who I’m referring to. You have Lamarr Houston (Oakland Raiders) and the man who has made Jay Cutler‘s life in the NFC North miserable in Jared Allen.

And you can’t ignore the return of Israel Idonije.

These two signings boosted the confidence of almost every Chicago Bears fan. There are still a couple iffy spots that need to be addressed (safety, linebacker), but we still have the NFL Draft coming up next week.

Now ever since hearing about Allen’s signing, we’ve all been waiting to see what Allen would look like in a full Chicago Bears uniform. Today, we were able to get the opportunity.

Here’s Jared Allen in Bears orange and blue for the very first time.

Now who’s ready for some football?
