With just six days until the NFL Draft, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding a lot of situations and individual players, but one thing that seems about as close to certain as you can get is Blake Bortles will be taken in the first round. The only question at this point is by whom.

Of course, as with any draft pick, the place that Bortles lands would also have to be a good fit, and if it were up to him–according to his UCF offensive coordinator Charlie Taaffe–that place would be with the Minnesota Vikings after he’s had discussions with his former quarterback about the various offensive systems that he’s already visited with.

“We’ve talked a lot,” Taaffe told TwinCities.com. “I’m not going to share some of the teams that he didn’t have a great comfort level with, but Minnesota is one of the teams he felt good about.”

As of right now, the Vikings sit with the eighth overall pick, and there is a good possibility that Bortles will be there for the taking when their card is called in. With the uncertainty surrounding the position in Minnesota, Bortles to Minnesota is a possibility that could come to fruition next Thursday.
