The Indiana Pacers were certainly worried Friday about the possibility of losing All Star shooting guard, Paul George for their critical Game 7 against the Atlanta Hawks tomorrow.

That worry can be set aside as the NBA has officially announced that George will be eligible for Game 7. According to a report by Yahoo Sports, George will not be suspended for leaving the bench during the Game 6 scuffle between George Hill and Mike Scott.

If you missed the scuffle, you can catch it below:

As you can see in the video, George steps off the bench and onto the court momentarily before he is held back by one of his coaches. By the letter of the law, a player can not step on the court from the bench during a scuffle, but the NBA decided to not suspend George.

Today was also George’s birthday, so I am sure this was the best present he could have asked for.

Game 7 of the Hawks vs Pacers series will go down tomorrow on TNT at 5:30 PM ET.
