The NFL Draft is just around the  corner and teams are starting to hammer out their final strategies on what they want to do. For the San Francisco 49ers, the question of whether or not to take a quarterback high in the draft has come up more than once and has become more and more relevant with the list of names that are projected to fall.

According to 49ers beat writer Bill Williamson, the Niners are indeed looking at taking a quarterback as high as the second round and the farther Teddy Bridgewater falls, the more intriguing an option he becomes.

Per ESPN.com:

"If he was available at No. 56, would the 49ers really consider taking him? It would come down how much they like him. Coach Jim Harbaugh loves quarterbacks and the 49ers will likely take one in the second round. If they think a lot of Bridgewater and he is sitting there at the end of the second round, perhaps they’d take him."

Williamson does mention that he questions whether or not Bridgewater will fall to the Niners second round pick, but stranger things have happened. Still, the Niners taking a quarterback is a reality in the draft and that should make training camp awfully interesting.
