When the Oakland Raiders drafted Tony Bergstrom in 2012, there was hope he’d be solid member of their front line for years to come. But the former third round pick (and first overall selection of current GM Reggie McKenzie) has struggled with injury and ability, which could lead to him being cut come Raiders training camp.

That’s the word from the San Francisco Chronicle who suggests Bergstrom’s roster spot is on the bubble.

"He didn’t have any picks in the first or second round in 2012, but his first-ever selection for the Raiders, third-round guard Tony Bergstrom, is in real danger of being cut after training camp this summer."

Bergstrom missed the entire 2013 season with a ‘significant’ foot injury and given the scheme change on the Raiders offensive line, it appears as if the former Utah talent may be playing in a new zip code come the regular season.

It will likely take a relatively strong camp from Bergstrom (or injury on the offensive line) to maintain his roster spot moving forward.
