Atlanta Hawks’ power forward Elton Brand has not decided whether or not he will return for a 16th NBA season.
Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has the scoop.
Elton Brand has not decided to play another season. Will take time to decide. Sounded like he thinks he can still play. #ATLHawks

Brand: "I didn’t miss any games due to injury so as long as I could still compete and help out a team, hopefully this team, we’ll see."

In 1999, the Chicago Bulls took Brand with the #1 overall pick in the Draft. After two years in Chicago, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. He was with the Clippers for seven seasons, but left to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. After four years in Philadelphia, he was released via the amnesty clause and joined the Dallas Mavericks for a season. He joined the Hawks in the offseason.
It seems like the Hawks would welcome him back, but his role would likely be reduced even more because all-star big man Al Horford will be returning from injury.
Brand averaged 5.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 assists per game this season.
