Now that Los Angeles Lakers’ power forward Pau Gasol is set to become a free agent in July, several teams are expected to heavily pursue Gasol.
Several teams, including the Charlotte Bobcats and Phoenix Suns, expressed interest in Gasol prior to the trade deadline.
Geoff Calkins of The Memphis Commercial Appeal talked to Pau’s brother, Grizzlies’ center Marc Gasol about Gasol’s recruitment and the possibility of him joining the Grizzlies.
Marc on Pau, part I: "He actually wants to be recruited, all the dating, all that stuff, he wants to do that and see if he falls in love.”

Marc on whether he'd recruit Pau to Griz: “He knows what we’re about here in Memphis, he knows everything about it."

More Marc on Pau: "Of course the last season wasn’t the best season for him here but he loves this place. He always has and he always will.”

Should the Grizzlies not be able to afford their current starting power forward, Zach Randolph, if he becomes a free agent, Gasol could slide into the Grizzlies’ lineup alongside his brother.
