In the NFL Draft group this year, the one position that seems to have garnered a lot more interest as time has gone on since the process started is wide receiver. With more and more evaluations and workouts, this is now considered a rather deep class.

As time has moved along, three wide receivers in particular, Odell Beckham, Marqise Lee and Brandin Cooks have begun to stand out right behind the consensus top two of Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans, and according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers are considering trade ups to grab one of these talents.

Both of these teams have really not made it any secret that they’re in the market for a wide receiver, especially the Jets. In the past few months, the team has been reported to have a significant amount of interest in Cooks, with Rex Ryan being a huge fan.

As for the Niners, as Rapoport points out, they might not pull the trigger on anything drastic to get up into the top 5, but a move up into the teen group is not out of the realm of possibility to get Colin Kaepernick another weapon on the offensive side of the ball.
