Tiger Woods is trying to recover from back surgery, an issue that kept him from competing in the 2014 Masters tournament.  In a blog post on his website, Woods offered some insight to his recovery from a microdiscectomy surgery March 31.

There was one interesting piece of information in there, that Tiger Woods and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo have been texting to discuss their back surgeries.

From the Associated Press, via the Dallas Morning News:

"Woods also said he has been texting with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who had “the exact same surgery” in December and couldn’t play the final game of the year against the Redskins. Woods and Romo were partners in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February 2012.“He just couldn’t function anymore,” Woods said."

If the Romo curse is to be believed, that being that every team he associated with has lost prematurely in their post seasons, Woods probably doesn’t have a major in his near future after returning.
