C.J. Wilson pranks New Yorkers by throwing baseballs at them (Video)
By Dan Zinski
There is a fine line between being a prankster and being a plain old richard.
C.J. Wilson may have crossed that fine line when he did this video for MLB Fan Cave where he tricks random people into thinking he is throwing baseballs at them.
Maybe it’s just my sense of humor but I can’t find one thing funny about this prank.
Actually, it’s just terrifying.
You’re walking along minding your own business when you encounter what you think is an open door with a baseball player standing there.
Suddenly, the guy whips a baseball at you. Your instinct tells you to duck. Maybe your bladder even gives way, who knows?
But, oh, there’s a pane of clear Plexiglas between you and the baseball. Whew!
Yeah. That’s a great prank. Almost as hilarious as that time Pete Carroll made everyone think he had chucked LenDale White off a roof.
Wilson’s prank is actually worse because it involves innocent bystanders.
Hey, what if one of those people had a heart attack or a seizure or something? Or pulled a muscle trying to duck out of the way?
What if a pregnant woman goes strolling past and the “prank” causes her to give premature birth?
A million things could go wrong for this, all for very very little potential comedic value.
Bad show, C.J. Wilson.
