NBA Playoffs 2014, Trail Blazers at Spurs final score: San Antonio cruises to 116-92 victory, 1-0 series lead
The San Antonio Spurs got 33 points and nine assists from Tony Parker en route to an easy 116-92 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night that gave the Spurs a 1-0 series lead in their second round playoff series.
Kawhi Leonard added 16 points and nine rebounds, Tim Duncan scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Aron Baynes and Patty Mills scored 10 points a piece.
For the Blazers, LaMarcus Aldrdige shined, finishing with 32 points and 14 rebounds. Damian Lillard shot just six-of-15 from the field, but managed to score 17 points points while Robin Lopez scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Spurs shot 50.6% from the field and held the Blazers to just 37.8% shooting. They also forced 20 Blazers’ turnovers while giving it away just 12 times.
It was all Spurs from the get-go. They scored eight points before the Blazers even got on the board and held a 15-point lead before the quarter was over. They topped their 29-point opening quarter by putting up 36 points in the second quarter to take a 26-point lead into the break and turn the second half into a laugher.
