The Seattle Seahawks had the No. 32 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, the final pick in the first round. The Seahawks traded back and out of the first round with the Minnesota Vikings who moved back into the first round for another pick.

The Houston Texans had the first pick in the second round and could’ve gone after a quarterback since only Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel had come off the board at this point.

That is exactly what the Vikings did, selecting Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. It addresses a major need for the Minnesota Vikings and they were aggressive in going after Bridgewater.
