There has been a lot of chatter about the New York Jets trying to move up in the draft.

Although the Jets added a lot of offensive firepower in the offseason, signing quarterback Michael Vick, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles and running back Chris Johnson after the Tennessee Titans released him. Perhaps their weakest position was wide receiver, which is why they signed Eric Decker away from the Denver Broncos and Jacoby Ford away from the Oakland Raiders.

Many experts believe they are targeting another wide receiver, most likely former LSU Tigers’ receiver Odell Beckham or possibly former Oregon State Beaver Brandin Cooks.

However, the Jets may actually be going defense in the first round.

According to Mike Garafolo, the Jets are actually expected to draft a defensive player.

As Garafolo points out, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, one of, if not the, most respected NFL Insiders, feels the same way.

Whatever the case may be, the Jets are always one of the more interesting teams on draft day.
