Before the Buffalo Bills traded up to draft Clemson standout Sammy Watkins with the No. 4 overall pick in the draft on Thursday, it was said that they’d try to trade veteran receiver Stevie Johnson if such a scenario played out.

Well, such a scenario did play out and less than 24 hours later the Bills have traded Johnson out West to the San Francisco 49ers. In return, the Bills will be getting a 2015 4th round pick that can turn into a 3rd round pick basked on what Johnson does with the Niners.

The Bills were vocal about not being satisfied with Johnson’s production and they made that known by not only drafting Sammy Watkins but also by acquiring Mike Williams last month. The message was clear when Buffalo moved up six slots to draft Sammy Watkins and now the Niners have added another potential weapon to Colin Kaepernick’s arsenal.
