With Drew Brees at the helm at QB and head coach Sean Payton running the show, the New Orleans Saints will always be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but as we saw in the playoffs last season, there are still a few pieces missing and the team looked to fill those voids in the NFL Draft this weekend.

Right off the bat the team got Brees some help with the selection of one of the most dynamic wide receivers that college football had to offer in Oregon State’s Brandin Cooks. Just picturing Brees tossing the ball to Cooks has to be giving NFC South coordinators nightmares already.

Here’s a look at the complete list of Saints picks from the weekend.

Rd 1 – #20(20)Brandin Cooks (WR) Oregon St ESPN Video
Rd 2 – #26(58)Stan Jean-Baptiste (CB) Nebraska
Rd 4 – #26(126)Khairi Fortt (OLB) California
Rd 5 – #27(167)Vinnie Sunseri (S) Alabama
Rd 5 – #29(169)Ronald Powell (OLB) Florida
Rd 6 – #26(202)Tavon Rooks (OT) Kansas St

Other than the Cooks pick, they beefed up on the defensive side of the ball as well.
