Undrafted free agents 2014: Denver Broncos to sign Bryn Renner
As is the case every year, once the draft comes to an end, there are many players still looking for a home. Usually, those undrafted players quickly sign with a team and get ready to go to work. Often times it is better for a player to go undrafted instead of getting picked in the final round. Players can assess their situation and see if a team has a need at their position or has shown a lot of interest in them. In some cases, players simply choose to stay closer to home.
According to Cecil Lammey of ESPN Denver, former North Carolina Tar Heels’ quarterback Bryn Renner will be joining the Denver Broncos.
Renner had a very productive career for the Tar Heels that ended in a difficult fashion as Renner battled through injuries during his final season in Chapel Hill. He still managed to complete 152 of 213 passes for 1,765 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2013.
